As Bioinformatics Backend Developer you are responsible for the implementation of new features and maintenance in the new Health Intelligence Platform (Hi!) in close collaboration with
our partner GenePlanet
. GenePlanet is a leading European provider of innovative healthcare and lifestyle solutions based on
preventive genetic testing.
Hi! platform will integrate biological data, computed genetic and blood tests, information from smart devices and wearables, feeds from sport tracking services, etc. It will provide
recommendations and action plans based on objective needs. Our goal is to provide a digital health engagement platform that improves overall health, fitness, vitality and well-being of
people through a personalised prevention programme.
In this position, you’ll be looked after by Martin
, who is cofounder in Nomnio and implemented some of GenePlanet’s services and applications. He knows and understands the issues that might occur in your daily work and will fully
support you in solving them.
Your specific tasks will include:
Work with our partner to architect and build HI!
Maintaining our partner existing services
Implementing bioinformatic data analysis services
Implementing integration services (devices, data feeds, 3rd party services)
Handling large amounts of data
Analyzing and eliminating scalability issues
Creating and executing unit and component tests, based on standardized frameworks
Integrating your solutions in our continuous delivery process
Taking care of software quality and standards in software engineering
Planning and conducting technology selection and proof of concepts
We look for a profile with complementary skills, such as:
Knowledge of .NET application programming
Working knowledge with source control systems like Git
Used to work in agile Scrum teams
Experience of developing with AWS, Google App Engine, Azure, or other major cloud providers
Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures
Moderate Xbox, beer tasting and cocktail mixing skills
